Meet Meg
I’m Meg, originally from London, Ontario, Canada, and now living in Miami with my husband, daughter, and our dog.
Between completing my Master's in Food Science at Cornell, working at a high-growth food startup in New York City, and partnering with a variety of companies in a consulting capacity, I have accumulated over ten years of experience in food and am uniquely positioned to support emerging food brands.
I thrive on driving consistent improvements, solving problems at a fast pace, and creating strong, scalable systems. These values are at the core of Refine and shape everything I do.
Let’s chat about how Refine can help you take your growing food business to the next level.
- Meg, founder

Meg graduated from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Chemistry. After school she spent 2 years working in advertising and sales with the largest CPG brands at Neptune Retail Solutions in Toronto.
Realizing food & product development was her passion, she went back to school to receive a Master's of Professional Studies in Food Science from Cornell University in 2018, specializing in food chemistry & product development.
She then joined Banza, the chickpea company, in 2018 as the 18th employee (now 80+ employees and in 30k+ stores across the US!). In the early days she spent time in operations, learning the fundamentals of pasta manufacturing, procurement, logistics and production planning before moving to the product development team. Before starting Refine, she was the Senior Director of Product Development at Banza, responsible for leading all aspects of R&D. In the last 10 years she has had a variety of experience working through formula/process optimization projects and new product launches in high growth environments.
